HI, trying to get a jump start on new years resolution here and well getting tired of being out of shape. I'm a skinny guy with a gut and want to get fit, plain and simple. Nothing over the top just hard as a nail. I'm not that badly out of shape, got hit with the flu, stopped working out and gained 5% bodyfat. I've been told I look like brad pitt in snatch (I did have the abs before myflu)but now when I lift my shirt the gut sorta comes out,some of it is bad posture.So my question is how can I go from this

Would this be low rep work with lots of cardio? As you can see I'm not trying to add size really just get more dense, and strong.I currently have a goal of bench pressing 300 by summer and 500 by winter, I probably wont hit 500 but I may come close. I want to achievethat but look like brad in the second link post troy, not huge but lean. I hope this doesnt sound like brad pitt thread, I just couldnt find something that better suited what I wanted to do.
