Two young men face felony charges after one of them allegedly spat in a drink he was serving to an East Texas police officer.

Brian Strban, 19, and Nathaniel Allen Baker, 22, were workers at a Lufkin Sonic Drive-In where the incident happened.

Both were arrested last week and charged with second-degree felony tampering with a consumer product. If convicted, both could be sentenced to 20 years in prison and fined up to $10,000.

The officer had ordered a soft drink, but upon receiving the beverage he noticed several workers inside the kitchen laughing. Under suspicion, the unidentified officer opened the drink to discover floating phlegm.

In a statement, a spokeswoman for the Sonic chain said both workers were fired.

Strban planned the prank after recognizing the officer as one who had interrupted him and his girlfriend having a romantic interlude.

20 years is a long time

well they shouldnt have toyed with the drink; who knows what they did to his food.
 
Total overkill.. and considering what most pricks police officers are.. he deserved a lot more than spit in his drink..

are you fucking handicap? ,what if the fucking kid had hepititis? then the officer takes it home to his wife and any kids they have in the future.

Oh please... take the absolute worst possible hypothetical situation and use it to justify putting these guys away in prison. With that arguement I should put you in jail because the next time you go 1 mile per hour over the speed limit you "could" kill a whole family of dumbfucks in their minivam on their way to soccer practice.

Prison is for rapists, muderers and the like.. not for some teens who spit ion some Nazi cops drink.

no I have a great grasp of the law and understand things from a cops point of view ,I dont watch enough tv to be media influenced.
 
Good then Im sure you understand what vindicitve, overzealous and petty peices of shit most cops are.

And is you have a firm grasp of the law.. then maybe you should undertsand what the real purpose of prison is.. not to appease some jack booted asshole with a badge.. and thats EXACTLY what they are doing in this case..

lol Im gonna be a cop within a year,I wont get busted,plus personal use in canada is fine. plus all my buddies who are cops are professional and not fuckheads,but from what I know of american cops its like night and day compaired to here.

you know they wont even see a year behind bars,they will most likely get fined and have to do community service

20 years for spitting in a drink...in norway, 21 years is the longest one can go to prison..and that is usually reserved for killers.

One time me and my buddies were smoking near mcnonalds waiting for a freind to get food or something. These cops pull up to us and one comes out totally stoned!! he asks what was our business there and we told him we were waiting for our buddy. Then he checks ids and tells us to get the fuck outta there. We had only one car and we wouldn't leave the buddy inside in middle of nowhere. So the fucker totally starts pushing us. We all leave eventually without incident, but we totally had to control those nerves.

i agree. 20 years is a complete over reaction. Spit is nasty for sure, but it doesnt kill. That cop is using his law knowledge to revenge-fuck those kids.

There ain't no way those kids are going to get 20 years for that. That is the max sentence. They will probably get 6 months probation with a ton of community service. If I was them I would pick water boy for the police softball league.
 
Those guys can get 20 years for spitting in a cops drink?

If they had beaten the crap out of an old lady they could only get 5.

Actually, the sad truth is that most canadian cops are idiots. Especially the OPP and SQ (Quebec). I won't even talk about municipal cops which are usually, the bottom of the barrel. They dont train, they can barely hit a B-27 target at 20 yards, most dont know shit but regional by-laws and on top of that, they have unions. I dont call that being professional. That's why IMHO, the RCMP is above that crap...

fuck whatever, i needed one when my car got broken into and got a phone machine, they didnt call back for 3 fucking days and couldnt give a rats ass.
I dont think i would trust my life in a cop's if it depended on it..

I'm the same way. Never had trouble with a cop, but every time I see one, I wanna stomp their face in...'specially the Magnum PI, mustache wearin' bitches.

I think the union things is crap also but thats life if you want to be part of this world. as for them being idiots I havent come across many that were but Im sure you have met many more then I
