Anyone here have any personal experience with it?

I went to a dog fight once, and let me say, that is one of the most brutal things I have ever seen. If anything in this world is pure evil, I'd say dog fighting is.

Why worry about killind Sadam, when we still have people raising dogs to fight.

Did you know that breeders will often take strays or neighborhood dogs and use them as bait to train their dogs to kill?

If your dog loses, it is often times dead or critically wounded. But if it isn't dog owners are notorious for toturing their dogs that lose and killing them.

I wonder if there are any dog fighting forums such as this one where people can talk about how to train them and stuff.. I'd love to infiltrate the community and then call the cops on those fucks.

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, THEY LIVE SEPERATED BUT SOMETIMES MANAGE TO GET TOGETHER. I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN BREAK THEM UP. USUALLY, ITS MY DOG TAKING ON THE OTHER TWO. ITS PRETTY FUCKING BRUTAL BUT THE DOGS DONT KNOW ANY BETTER. THEY ARE JUST DOING WHAT THEIR INSTINCT TELLS THEM TO DO. WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT PURPOSELY, IT MAKES ME ANGRY. THEY SHOULD BE SHOT IN THE KNEES AND HANGED TILL THEY DIE.

DOG FIGHTING PENALTIES ARE NOWHERE NEAR AS HARSH AS THEY NEED TO BE.

My two bitches (one is chow, the other half chow half pit) fight all the time. One bitch tore the others leg up, and blood was splattered over a distance of 30' on the house and covered the back door. Now one stays in front of the house and one behind the house as they both know one or the other will get it. Once in a while though I throw some leftovers on the back porch and watch the fur fly! I try to break them up and scold them when they growl at each other, but they simply will not break up. I literally have to get the cattle prod out and shock them. They no longer require shocking, they just see it and run off. Unless there really going at it. One time my great dane attacked the neighbors german shepard and had him by the throat on the ground and I ran and got the prod. I stuck it in my danes side and (hey, I had no choice here) and shocked him. Unlike my other two bitches, this fucker turned and growled at me and just stood there. He is a big baby, but when he gets around male dogs he turns into a total monster. It is not cool at all, I have to keep him pinned up all the time.

I do not see anything wrong in dog fighting providing it is done in a professional level. If you think it is cruel, you have seen a low level match with people who have no idea what they are doing. I know this is not the popular opinion but it is a cold hard fact that the dogs are not forced to do this and will do so willing showing gameness in it's bloodline. I will go on record stating that only an asshole would match a mutt or other breed against a non-sporting breed.

Wow...it's just sad to me. I realize that there is a lot of instinct going on there, but it has been so heavily reinforced that it becomes ingrained into their personality. Then the whole breed (like the pit bull) gets a bad rap.

You made a great point. On the news you only see assholes who have no idea what they are doing matching dogs that are not in any condition to play catch let alone scratch. A good dogman takes care of his dogs like they were his children. They are conditioned and given the finest medical care so they are up to the game. Contrary to popular belief these are not matches to the death. Although it does happen the owners will "pick up" their dog before they lose them. They are treated for any injury right on the spot with qualified vets standing by. If you ever seen a pro handle his dogs you would see that the dog fights just like a boxer comes out of his corner. I could go on and on but most people here don't get it so I'm done.

Well, I agree that most people here don't get it (and probably don't want to), but it is an opportunity to tell us your experience. I love my dogs and I don't understand why (except for money) you would participate in such a match.

Thinking further on this idea...I am a huge fan of the UFC and have followed if since it first came out. Why do I enjoy watching them beat the shit out of each other? Maybe it helps me sleep better at night--gotta get that aggression out somehow! I don't feel sorry for them because they are (now) professionals who are making a living for doing what they are highly skilled in.

If you knew as much as you thought you did you would know that the dogs do have a choice, they don't have to cross the scratch line and the fight is over. When One dog stops fighting it is broken up and the match is restarted by the quitting dog having to cross the scratch line and if he doesn't the fight is over. Most fights look more like a high school wrestling match with no blood. But since you all ready knew that I was just explaining it to the uneducated or the people educated by the news. The sport is no crueler then any other sport where animals are competing against each other. Is it cruel to turn your game Pit on a Poodle, yes because the Poodle does not have the fight in them. It would be like sending Grandma in the ring with Tyson. But 2 equally matched Pits is a sport.

That's some sad shit. I volunteer at the humane society, but it's Oregon so we hardly ever see cases like that. Those owners are the kind of people I would like to see in a human death match.

What you describe is the kosher method of killing bovine (cow to you) , this is not the norm. (at least in Europe) - they are killed with the "humane killer" which is a retractable bolt shot directly through the skull of the animal instantly killing it. No pain or cruelty there chum. Most dog fights are barbaric , despite the fact that there may exist some relatively respectable events that you are aware of. Therefore "dog fights" per se are barbaric.

Actually, I do not personally approve of properly designed dog fights. I am also not against them. Bigsatan13 appears to know what he's talking about, though, and others seem not to. I went to a dog fight once, and let me say, that is one of the most brutal things I have ever seen. If anything in this world is pure evil, I'd say dog fighting is.

Why worry about killind Sadam, when we still have people raising dogs to fight.

Did you know that breeders will often take strays or neighborhood dogs and use them as bait to train their dogs to kill?

If your dog loses, it is often times dead or critically wounded. But if it isn't dog owners are notorious for toturing their dogs that lose and killing them.

I wonder if there are any dog fighting forums such as this one where people can talk about how to train them and stuff.. I'd love to infiltrate the community and then call the cops on those fucks.
