reading a book is not going to completely change someones outlook on life but it could make a small difference in how they view certain aspects in life
I agree with that point. Someone can talk you up and get you thinking positive. I see it working that way.

If you're motivated to read the book and do all the things it suggests then you're already motivated to make the improvements in your life. Reading (or not reading) the book is just confirmation of that.
Ok so it acts like a motivator and a confirmer.

I agree... We attract what we focus on. We tend to get out of this world what we put into it. Those who put forth no effort, don't get far, those who do, usually get more of everything.
