Does size REALLY matter? (needles/syringes for gh)

I've been doing a lot of research on GH in general, and there are many aspects of it that have mixed opinions. I've decided to try it out, and after ordering both the GH itself and the bacteriostatic water I went to buy the simplest thing I needed, or so I thought. I arrived at CVS and realized I had no idea what sort of syringe I needed. Upon further research it seemed that a 25 or 27 gauge, 1 cc syringe seemed to be the most acceptable kind. But other sites suggested 31 gauge as perfectly acceptable. I figured I would get a 27 gauge just cause mostly that was what I saw. But niether CVS nor Walgreens would sell it to me cause I needed a prescription (for diabetes). After some ridiculous BS story Walmart finally sold me a 31 gauge. They wouldn't sell me a 25 nor 27 gauge. So heres my question, preferbaly to those that have done this before. DOES IT REALLY MATTER? I suppose I could order it online but I have the 31 gauge already and am eager to try this out already. Any input is appreciated !

Are you serious? You actually walked into a place and try to buy syringes without a script? Unbelieveable!
