I got a PM from a certain fossil of a moderator (heheheh) saying that some members think that my signature is offensive.

Let me explain this signature.

Its tongue in cheek first off. I've already explained the term "gook" and its history and origins.

second of all, its kind of like a fuck you to people who think all asians are skinny little math fuckers who sit behind a desk all day and play on computers.

third, i can call myself dumb etc..because i just dont take myself seriously anymore..

to me, i'm like fuck it, this is a chat board, and i'm sick of all the shit i use to get myself into by getting mad or pissed off at people or getting people pissed off at me cuz i took myself so seriously.

so hence, i think i've grown up and i've begun to take things a lil more lightly on here and not so seriously.

that is all.

please say something and your reasons behind it if it does offend you. I'd like to hear why.
 
Frankly it does. I don't like to see dumb people mocked in any way shape or form. It isn't kind and if you can spell dumb than you need to check yourself and ask how dumb you really are. I feel that if you can spell 'dumb' than you aren't sufficiently retarded enough to call yourself dumb and thus you are being offensive. I will be reporting this to Mr. Spellwin. He needs to know what you are up to you evil mother fucker.
 
I don't find it offensive, but I kind of take it in the context you're using it.

I do, however, find it odd that you complained about Eyepee, and now you're using the word "gook" in your sig.
 
Of course that does not offend me. Whoever the person was that got offended needs to get a reality check.

anyways, I've already told my story about the word gook a million times..the word doesnt offend me at all cuz if any white person or darky uses it against me, i laugh cuz really they are just calling me American..so they are too dumb to even realize its not even a racial slur.
 
also i use the signature for my girlfriend Alphaxi (in the avatar with me)

because you will not believe how many dirty looks and comments i will get when i am out with her. Jealous white guys and darkies..thinking that no gook should be able to get a hot blonde haired blue eyed girl who looks like she's some abercrombie or j crew model...they think that her boyfriend should look like an abercrombie or jcrew model...

but how is an obvious caricature of a racial stereotype less offensive than a racial slur?

I'm a white mutt, so I don't know anything about being discriminated against based on race, and maybe that's why I can't see it.

Kak, I read that thread earlier, but that doesn't really answer the question. I get why you're not offended by the word, but it is still a slur.

And if I recall, you take the Eyepee thing more personally because it's indiciative of a stereotype that is reflective of your parents.

:confused: Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you have issues with your ethnic identity. I get the feeling you're always trying to prove something. On one hand, you joke about it and seem proud of it but on another you seem like you try to do everything you can to prove you are different from the rest. Just my 02, I could be totally off base.

BTW, you DO look you could be an Abercrombie or JCREW model. There's a very good looking Asian model in one of those, I think it's JCREW. ;)

Also I use the term Darkie cuz its an inside joke (South Park) and also me and my friends came up with the logic that no black people are really black (unless they live on the Equator) and that really they are brown or just darker than other people. So we call them Darky

thanks polarpixie but I'm done with modeling. it was too much drama, and i was around the coke and drug scene way too much and it was NOT good for me, trust me ;)

right now I just want to focus on my dream of being a chiropractor. School is enough, i have a wonderful girlfriend--future wife, and I'm happy with my life.

I dont need modeling anymore..that was just a phase. Plus im too fat and bulky to do the ads and shows I did back in those days.

ahhh...my youth is fading me.. :(

I explained the term darkie..its not a racial slur, its a simple observation that most "black people" are not in fact BLACK.

I told a story of where I learned what WOP actually meant from my italian fraternity brother. Again, another supposed racial slur, that has a history behind it. I was pleased to learn that.

Gook is not a racial slur to me. I've already told the story.

I live very close to Texas A&M. The orientals that you descibe look kinda nerdy for the most part, but i also know I'll never be as dedicated to academics as they are. They can't help but be admired for doing a great job bettering themselves that surpasses those born here who know the language and culture better.

I was Nicknamed "Banana" within the first week of College; because i dont fit the typical asian stereotypes. That name died off later on when they saw my academic record, lol. At my school 99% of asians are all FOBS.....man i glad i was raised uniquely.

Wasn't "gook" used a lot in Vietnam, though. Once a word goes into slang usage, I don't think it really matter where it originated from.

Racism is bullshit. Also bullshit is the policy that forbids people from using this language, even when it is made in obvious jest.

I have been edited in the past for facetious use of the words chink, gook, nigger, spic, etc.

I wish people were more like dogs. If you call a dog "fuckhead" in a sweetheart voice he will run to you with his tail wagging. if you scream "sweetheart" at your dog, he will pout and cry.
