Does luteolin have estrogenic effects?

Luteolin is a phytoestrogen. It increases insulin sensitivity. It also binds to some estrogen receptor sites. What side effects does it have?

it does have some ER binding, will have to look at the specific efficacy #, but its not a strong binder like genestein.

most of its effects are through binding to NON- ER binding sites. where it is an irreversible competive inhibitor (at least in type II uterine binding sites)

I was thinking if anyone was gonna answer this, it would be you.

What is a NON- ER binding site? Somewhere that E can bind to that is not really a receptor? What really is that?

Thanks.

I wonder about hypothalamic activity, too. I'm considering using Luteolin and cinnamon PWO but I don't want any estrogenic effects from it and i don't wanna inhibit HPTA. What do you think about this?
