*Does IGF-1 and scar tissue*

Planning on doing some localized IGF-1 injections to a mid chest partial pec tear. Working deep tissue release shit with a woman that works with the Olympic team and shes all for it assuming it works primarily for muscle/nerve/connective tissues and doesnt just build up more scar tissue.

MRI, ultrasound imaging couldnt see anything, and orthopedic suregeon says nothing worth surgery over.

TBH it was just a tweak(cable cross overs) that continued to get aggrevated and in the cold winter the scar tissue harden up I think.

Anyhow, range of movement is improving big time, but the strength for adducting arms inward is still considerably weak.

Sorry for the rant ... once again, curious : Will the IGF-1 turn me into even more of a scar tissue farm, or will it work primarily on building new muscle and connective (tendon, ligament, cartilage). Thanks.

I believe the only way you will get more scar tissue is if you are using your chest muscle before it fully heals.

I believe that AR just mentioned something about it helping damaged tissue, tendons, etc. He said doses at around 50mcg ed were plenty. I don't think it would build more scar tissue. Mine is reconstituted with acetic acid and then I pull some NACL water into the syringe before injection to further dilute it.

Going right into the injured area sounds good, but I am assuming you probably need to rotate a little. Maybe 3x per week into the pec and then either sub-q or lagging body part the other 4 days. Shooting right after the deep tissue massage would be my approach rather than before it.

That area is going to bother you for quite some time. Good luck though bro.

i thought igf-1 gre new muscle cells and hgh helped tendons, etc

Thanks ... just to be clear, I dont mean buiuld scar tissue as in facsia scar tissue build up from injections. Im meaning overhealing like a bastard and having zigzagged fibrous tissue where the original injury took place.

And yeah, have started to do some light stuff (very very light) at the gym on machines just to remind the muscle what its supposed to do pretty much, and just keep the bloodflow and nerve endings active (been off since november).

Anywho, ill keep you guys updated with progress. My massage woman says the muscle in 4 massages has completely changed in consistency (was a lumpy scar tissue ridden POS) and is now considerably more flexible. Anywho, im thinking another few weeks of massage and chiro to get the muscle all cleaned up then start with the IGF. Hopefully I can get back on the mat pretty quick, im going bananas here.
