Does HGH=more muscles?

Does anyone know if HGH actually increases the amount of muscle we have. I always thought this the general consenuses however from what I understand muscle cells are stuck in the G! phase of meosis and cannot divide unless another muscle dies. Does HGH actually cause cell meiosis hence an actual increase in muscle cells. I know steroids only voluminize muscle cells through the production of more satalite cells and their functions but not actual muscle cells.

youve read but does anyone have anyy factual info on this.
Heres an abstract I came across from the British journal of sports medicine. that was just published a few months ago. Acording to this and many other actual research documentations HGH does not increase cell count? Does anyone have any info disapproviong this?
"This review examines the evidence that growth hormone has metabolic effects in adult human beings. The conclusion is that growth hormone does indeed have powerful effects on fat and carbohydrate metabolism, and in particular promotes the metabolic use of adipose tissue triacylglycerol. However, there is no proof that net protein retention is promoted in adults, except possibly of connective tissue."

That explains why so many can eat so much wothout gaining fat on it but Im tryimg to understand the effects it has on muscle growth includong organ muscle.

GH is a diabetogenic hormone, NOT and androgen. One of its primary functions in adult is in the balancing of blood sugar levels. Any mass gains from GH are simply a side effect of its use and not a direct action of its use.

wouldn't muscle cells, if they COULD reproduce, undergro MITOSIS instead of MEIOSIS? i thought that only gametes were produced from meiosis. all other somatic cells undergo mitosis to divide. just a thought.

ps - i reproduce via spores
