I used to be really good at it, could've been pro. I haven't touched a board in 12 years and I went out today and bought one.

I'll see if I can't break my leg doing something stupid.

used to ride for a few boardshops, now I only skate 4 fun and transportation around campus.

I skated alot in High School, I got a really bad hipper coming up short on a gap and it slowed me down.

I still skate once and a while for fun sometimes. I will still bust a backside 180 kickflip down some stairs, but I dont bounce up as fast after falls anymore.

Uh can you say Jackass before there was a show called Jackass! Broke my skull! What a poser I was! But then again the Banana boards sucked! I would like Tony to bust some skills on the Banana like me!

I used to skate tons in the mid 80s.

Back when Hawk was young and Hosoi & Lester were big air kings.

I have one of those that has handlebars. I call it the pussy chariot. I save it for special occasions, just to be fair.

I used but then I grew up. I used to be into BMX Freestyle too. Anyone doing that past their teen years who isn't a pro probably doesn't have too much going on with their lives.

I used to be tha shit. Used ti ride Zoo York bout 8 years ago. Would go out all night for like 5 hours just stopping at any spot that looked good to skate. Got hassled alot by the po-po too.
good times.

I skate about twice a week, friends and I bomb garages, last week, we were in this particular garage, had gone down several times, got up to about 25 mph, anyway, we went to the 14th floor overlooking the city, I happend to look down and see this guy taking pics of my car, we skate down, at the bottom this same guy starts taking pics of me and my friends, tells us we are trespassing, we leave, get a call saying not to show our faces there anymore, got my info from my license plate, we're going back friday night to get hype on dem hoes. peace

I really impressed my kid when she got her first board at like 9 yrs old, and I was showing her and Mrs Y some cool moves.

Then, I ran into a patio column and hurt myself bad, and they laughed..

I still do.

I broke my elbow really bad this January doing a handrail at a skatepark. Still recovering from that.

Like someone said I don't bounce back up as quick but I still like to learn silly little tricks and shit.

I skate to work when the weather and body cooperate.

I used to a bit but was more into rollerblading tricks and crap. Same deal, just the wheels are attached to your feet, which I preferred.

Used to in my Jr. High years. Was quite the dare devil. My drive was steep into the street so we would pour gasoline at the bottom make a wall of fire then skateboard through it then do slides with our wheels on fire. Then we would put the wheels and anthing that caught fire on us out and do it again.

Now I just wakeboard. The falls don't hurt as much on water.

i started when i was 8, got hardcore into it and kept skating til i was 20, then i leant my skate to a friend for the day and he got it stolen.. never got another board after that, now i'm 26... one day i will get another skate, but not until i find one decently wide (all the new decks are super narrow and i find it hard to adapt to)

still hang with a few who skate and hop on a board when i get the chance..

I feel ya on that, I'm 27 and want to get back into it. I went into the shop and reconized very little, some of the names are still there but not many.

And yes the decks are alot narrower than they used to be but you get used to it after a while.

the boards and everything else is lighter now too.

i used to be all about skateboarding. the guy i started skating with, who i was better than at the time, eventually got sponsored by some shops and a clothing line.

jeremy klein was one of my favorite skaters, and i still have both my 'klein bug' shirt and deck. i used to skate birdhouse and toy machine boards, venture trucks, and usually pig wheels (sorry, but i hated fucking spitfire wheels). shorty's was also a favorite brand of mine. i had a bunch shorty's blackmagic stuff (shirts, backpacks, etc), and those did not fly in the christian school i was attending, nor did their catalog 'gay cowboy' either.
