Does Anybody Have Any Experience With Modafinil?

I am interested in using this product for it's stimulant effects. I need it for energy. Anybody have any experience with this product and is it useful for fat burning as well?

Modafinil isn't a central nervous system stimulant. It affects the suprachiasmatic nuclei in the hypothalamus to create a state of alertness as opposed to sleepiness. It kept me awake all night when I took it and with no discernable jitters or euphoria. In an indirect fashion, it can probably increase fat burning by promoting wakefulness as opposed to sleep. If you are awake, you are likely to burn more calories than if you are asleep.

Thanks for the reply. So the next question would be what would be more effective at promoting wakefulness, a CNS like ECA or Modafinil?

It depends how you define 'wakefulness'. If you are pulling an allnighter that requires clear thought and concentration I would go with modafinil. If you are looking to increase your energy output I would choose ephedra although ephedra at high doses makes me scatterbrained, jittery, and irritable.

so how many days can you stay away on this stuff
a week? or what
sounds like a good study tool. chiro student

what does the lack of sleep under the influence of provigil (i think thats the trade name) do to other bodily proceses that require sleep? recovery, the gh bursts, etc?

This is beyond dispute. Just being awake you are burning more calories than sleeping....it has nothing do with the activities you engagne in while staying awake...just the fact that you are AWAKE means you are burning more....think of it as the same as keeping your monitor on vs. shutting it off.and comparing the power usage.......

Obviously leaving it on will use more than on sleep mode.

Hope this shit helped you.

provigal, at least in several observed and questioned subjects, can cause the impression of distal sensory input. ie while alert you tend to feel distant, emotionally and physically from your surroundings.

a nacroleptic associate also had this issue as well.
