how fast is your internet service?

I am on cable and I just learned that our local cable company increased our speed from 5mbit to 7mbit at no extra cost. Even though this started on March 1st, I don't even know if I realized the change which is odd

Cable, fast enough to dl a 120mb movie in about 5 minutes.

cable technology is much faster than dsl but in most countries it is regulated so that they buffer it so dsl can be competitive
there are come countries where they have already broken the "10 mbs barrier"
doesn't matter though if the link you are connnecting to is at a much slower speed
but for fun you could go to speakeasy.net or toast.net and take the speaktest
