Do you trust birth control pills?

The question should be "Do you trust the person who's taking them?" As in, are they actually taking them????

I would feel safer if I didn't ask myself that one...

Well, they only work if 1) the person takes them and 2) if they take them properly....

Hmmmmmmmmm

So far they have worked, so I'm just going to push that out of my head until the situation arises again. :)

my gf is damn well taking them, she's as scared to get a baby as I am and she brings them when she sleeps over not to skip a night.

I suppose a woman could fuck you over royally this way though.

how often does it happen that a woman gets pregnant while on the pill?
Like one in every 30.000 sex sessions?

I'm not scared to never have children. I can't imagine anything being more relieving. I just cant imagine people cutting in my personal tubage

My husband had a Vasectomy....the process took 12 minutes....literally....

The paperwork took longer than the procedure.....he had no complaints on the process at all....

Can you still cum as much? I like to cum like a spewing fountain and if it messes with that, it ain't for me.

So he likes to pull it out and see how much he can cum and how far he can shoot it also? Does it ever clear your head?

Went past my shoulder today.....have got it in my eye too.....I don't remember it ever going across the room or anything tho....the amount hasn't seemed to change to me....

I just asked him & he said he didn't know....

Just make sure that you DO use the ice after you have it done.....prevents pain & swelling......anyone that has had a problem with the surgery most likely didn't keep ice on it.....

I had 4 bags of peas that were in the freezer. They were cold and were very bendable to be able to get where they needed to be.

Yep -- my hubby had it done on a Friday & he sat in the backyard with ice on him in a lawn chair all weekend while I brought him beers....

It's nice now not having to worry.........

I had a vasectomy and I missed three months of work. Actually had to have the surgery twice. First time, I was in the dr.'s office on the table for three hours and only were able to do one nut. Tried on the other and finally gave up and loosley stitched me up. Sat at home for two weeks wearing two kotex napkins on my nuts and had to changed them three times a day. Felt like a woman on her period.

Nuts got bigger than grapefruits (no shit!) Thought about taking pictures because I knew I had the biggest nuts at least in my town and needed proof.

Went to the hospital one month later and had the other side done. Took about 30 minutes. Stitches wound up pulling out and had to restitch them. Balls bacame infected. Stitches came out again. Blah, blah, blah!

Worst nightmare ever. Reports say less than 1% of men have problems after a vasectomy. I'm a 1%ter.:)

I would never ever do it again.

Stop its so intensely painful to even think of a vasectomy to me. I know its almost no surgery but

its hard to type this

no

i'd wrap it, all the time

don't trust the pills cause my gf got pregnant while on them.

vascetomy.....i'd consider it actually. i don't want any more children. 1 of my own is plenty for me.

I'd describe what my hubby said about the process if anyone is interested.....but he said it was no problem......

What WAS weird for me is that 1 month after you need to take a sample to be tested....I had to drop it off at the lab!! LOL

don't need a description of the process, just the $$$$ to do it.

Well a description might "prepare" you more....

But as for the $$$$ it cost us $35 -- the health insurance paid for the rest....

just make an appt with a urologist whose name was given by his family doc and it went from there.....the paperwork took longer than the procedure...

i'm on a student health insurance plan, i don't think they'll cover that procedure, but i can always check into it. as long as it was a doctor within the network, i wouldn't pay a dime.

do you trust them completely?
or do you still ALWAYS wrap up?

birth control isn't the only reason to wrap up.

I don't have to worry about it, since I'm shootin' blanks.

I trust them completely....having taken them for about 15 years with no pregnancies.

BUT, along the lines of what DT was getting at, when I was not in a serious long term monogamous relationship, the guy used condoms too. Pregnancy I could take, disease I can't.

AND, like Jen said, you (as the guy) have to trust that the girl is taking the pills AT THE SAME TIME everyday or effectiveness drops dramatically.

my dad had a vasectomy...didnt work, along came another brother.

had a second operation, worked.

Your girlfriend cannot miss "one" pill!!

I had my tubes tied!

I think most unwanted pregnancies occur when no birth control whatsoever is used. The pill you take on a given day is not what protects you that given day, it's slower than that.

Actually if you miss one pill it makes no difference

Robert Jan...This is where women end up pregnant on the pill. Today the doses of estrogen are so low that missing one can cause pregnancy! They should be taken at the SAME TIME everyday. Every hour missed lowers the chance of it working right!

every hour?
I dont buy that one minute. so many factors come on determining how fast its absorbed. I dont think those hormone levels even change that quick

In order to have a constant level of hormone they say you should take it at the exact same time every day....have your GF read the insert info that comes with it...this is due to the low estrogen of the newer pills

I think she does actually take them this way but I'd like to know how this works because judging by what little I do know about it this makes no sense

Yes true.

Dude, it does make a difference....this is not a science experiment.

My gf has been on the pill for 10 years, and has never been pregnant...that alone makes me wonder if it'll take her a long time for her to get pregnant once she stops...

Ex-girlfriend told me she was on birthcontrol pills when she deliberately had stopped taking them because she wanted to get pregnant. Our relationship went kind of downhill after I found out.

When I was going through a divorce with the mother of my children, I worked in a place that had a large manufacturing floor. I knew a LOT of people. It was by watching how many women on the pill suddenly turning up pregnant when their relationships went down the toilet that prompted me to fix my side of that issue.

I have met girls who got pregnant on the pill... I have NEVER met a girl who can honestly say she was taking the pill EXACTLY as she was supposed to when she got pregnant. Remember, RU-486 pretty much mimics what would happen if you were to take a high dose of your normal bc.
