However counter intuitive you may imagine the statement to be, you are seeing it happen right now.

Trade, commerce, and free exchange has turned once bitter enemies into economic partners furthering their self interests peacefully. Whwn people start complaining about the "globaliziation" they are cluelessly ignoring the greatest human effort towards mutually beneficial and peaceful interaction the world has ever known.

trade = peace and mutual prosperity.

Just have a handful of totalitarian regimes that act as an impediment.

if you never leave your county, state or country - it's pretty damn peaceful. What goes on in 3rd world countries is pretty much irrelevant to the average citizen in 1st wold countries.

It's not their fault, certain leaders want to invade countries and force democracy on them. There wasn't a real threat to begin with.

There would be world peace when:
People would start giving other people the same rights that they want for themselves.
People would stop trying to avenge or correct the wrongs of past history.
Everybody would accept that all human beings have right of free choice.
People would stop exploiting other people's lands or resources.
Leaders and nations would give up dreams of empires for greater glory.
