do you think its possible to successfully pull off a forged reference?

on a resume? cuz i have no sales experience, but i have a friend whose a manager of a toys store. i really want this sales job, and my friends agreed to be a reference, so when the company calls him (and lets not forget hes actually a manager) he can put in a good word for me. have you done this before? can it work?? i do have loads of previous work exp though- just no sales, and i know how to be a sales associate, cuz ive seen it done a trillion times, and it jsut sounds better if i can say i have the exp.

Any company worth its salt is going to run a background check. Did you actually work for the toy store in any capacity?
