Do you tell your friends when they are being a douche?

For some reason I find that it is easier to just stop talking to people than actually tell them they have behaved like a total douche. However, this is resulting in me culling away many of my oldest friends.

A small example was last week when one of my old roommates spent more time on his Blackberry when we were at lunch than making conversation. I realized he has really become an ass ever since he started making decent money. Didn't mention it at the time but thought I might next time I hang out with him.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people change over time.

I do it by just stop associating with them. Such as the loser club friend who always fucks up conversations by interjecting total retarded comments and conversations. I would find a way to just lose him in a club and talk to people myself.
