Do you really track your calories?

when i was prepping for my last show i wrote down everything and I was able to pinpoint my caloric intake. Now i just eat what i see.

I normally try to estimate mine. Counting them too closely would be very time consuming but you want to have a ballpark idea of what your intake is.

I have found www.fitday.com to be invaluable when it comes to tracking calories/nutrients. Very easy, free online journal w/ built-in nutritional facts database.

I don't track everyday, but when I make a change in diet (i.e. bump up to 5000 cal/day, etc.) I'll use it for a period of time to make sure my eating is in order.

hell yeah, I do! I'm cutting though, so I have to. Actually overtime you pretty much start remembering what foods have what protein, carb, and fat content, so it only takes me 2-3 minutes to figure out how many of each of those (including calories) I have had in a day. It gets very very easy to do over time.

Sort of...
I build up a collection of "meals" centered around 500cal each. Then I just consume any six of those meals each day.

durig cycles i use to write everything down in a planner to make sure i was getting enough claories,,,,Got very tiresome and eventually i justy guestimated. I have done this for three cycles

NOW

i have a palm and i have a tracker program on it..so easy it would be uterly lazy not to....breaks everything down and has a database of every food you can imagine..thing rules

they have a calc if you dont have a plam but ist pricy the palm program download is like 40.00 the calulator is over 100.00

check it out....Its the best 40.00 i have spent in along time i think counting calories help BIG TIME

Why bother....

The plan I'm on, the guy set up the balance of carb grams and protien grams for each meal for each calorie intake level.

Counting carbs and protien is much easier and good enough for the job it accomplishes.

I usually try to, but end up just knowing approximates. Everyone cheats once in a while, little here and little there.
