I get everything done, I get here on time, I'm a good employee. But I'm always prancing around. Skipping. Singing little songs. This morning every time a salesperson talks to me I'm making shrill dolphin noises before answering their questions.

Life's as fun as you make it. I'm fairly sure they think I'm on something though....

The women here walk around bitching, they are always late and they irritate the shit out of me most days.

I stay in my office and watch for mice.

I work wiht 200 men and less than 8 women. We got a new receptionist today who's 21 but before today I was the only female under 35. Lumber's not an industry of women.

Employee of The Month
 
Theres a couple of Rainas in our field service office, but none of them make shrill dolphin noises, prance or sing little songs. They mostly bitch at me for being late with my expense reports or some other stupid shit.

But they get there on time and get the job done...so they're cool.

If I notice an employee is parked in the customer lot I always page an enthusiastic page informing everyone that so and so is employee of the month and to note their car in the front lot. They love that. :)

NYC- you'd kill me. I'm beyond chipper and obnoxious. Thankfully I start crashing around 1 and then I'm mellow for the rest of the day.

I worked in lumber for two years. ;) Did material takeoffs for new construction, inside and outside sales.

Now I work in Oilfield design and drafting. I tend to always have the non typical job.
 
It'll be a huge difference when I graduate from nursing school and work in a hospital. That's a much more female population.
 
You don't go around saying "Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays", do you?

No, No man. Shit no man, I believe you'd get your ass kicked saying something like that man.
 
No. I would never say that. I love Mondays though and profess my love of them to everyone I see. I'm a morning person and a Monday person. ;)

No kidding... I work in a medical testing lab and it is 75% women, 25% men... Way too much estrogen for me sometimes!!
 
That's a lot like me Stilleto! Except a little different.

I would love to show up here someday in tap shoes. I amuse myself way too much.

Yes .. i also have imaginarty friends... the mailroom say because i am skipping like a little girl :qt:

And... i sing in the halls.. run...

They actually have a speed sign.... and joke about it....

Music is at my desk.. i have bubble gum lip gloss and i have little girl hair clips in my hair...some times

sometimes my kneess r evne skinned :worried:

Everyone asks why i'm always smiling.. because i know some where.. somewhere someon has it worse than me no matter what...

I even pull pranks:P

And when the bell goes at 5pm.. I'm the first one out the door.. Yes we have bells.. it's a japanese tradition for my company.. even in the office :P

the closest to raina is me - hi to everyone, polite to everyone, witty comment about everyone even as they work...yeah im sure lots of people havnt worked out if im great or ripe for the shooting ;)

i work in corporate communications - marketing and coporate sponsorship stuff... field is technology..

Most ppl seem to know who i am.. not sure if that is a good thing :P the building has over 500 employees.. well this one building.. i gotta confess i don't know most ppl's names because i nick name everyone :P

my roomate was a nurse for 10 years (dog eat dog environment, lots of haters)

Yes indeed. I was too lazy to write out commercial building materials.

Lumber really is funny though. 2x8x12' green treat really cracks me up. I also laugh at anyone who doesn't know what an LVL or LPI is. :rolleyes:
