I used to reverse them in the winter in Atlanta. I don't have any now.

It is a commonly held misconception that when flushed, the water in a toilet bowl swirls one way if the toilet is north of the equator and the other way if south of the equator, due to the Coriolis effect. Usually, counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere, and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. Yes I do change the direction of my ceiling fan and yes I would recommend doing it.

Stand right under it and the fan should be blowing down on you in the warm months. In the cold months the fan should be blowing air up at the ceiling.

thats what I thought. I've always done it but also always wondered if it made a difference
