Do you give your real name at Dr?

I want to go get my blood work done, but I don't want to use my insurance or real name. This could only bring problems in the future (no insurance company wants a steroid user). Do you guys have your insurance pay for your blood work, or do you pay by cash and keep it clean?

Just get tested while your off. It's kind of pointless to get tested while you're on unless you want to get your liver values tested. But I would just wait for a few weeks after your cycle and then go get a full lipid and metabolic panel, test levels, etc. They don't test for gear but if you were to get tested while on they'd probably know from your outrageous test levels.

Oh, and you posted this same post twice. You can click on the other one and delete it.

Use your real name...I do and have never been questioned about it...I had an abcess drained and told the doc what it was from but he didn't write it down. Be honest with your doctor, he's their to help you not fuck you over...

This is exactly the way that I do it, and have never had a problem. I also mention to the doctor that my admission of steroid use is confidential.

NEVER tell your doc that you are on steroids, this has been discussed to death! Confidentiality is a joke and your insurance company has access to your records. If you have to tell them something, say you are on legal prohormones.

I just order my blood tests online and avoid the DOC. I do not submit to my inssurance as it's reallly only $35 or so out'a my pocket to get a liver, kidney, heart function, lipid profile, gluc, etc. I imagine the test results maybe going into that national health DB up in Boston, but if ever questioned I will tell my insurrance co. that I am a little paranoid and like to keep a baseline on myself. I share the information I get with a friend that is a Doc, if something's odd he'll let me know that I gott'a take my tests to my personal Doc...

Damn, Ya'll need to find a better doc. I know there are a good bit out there that do blood test and even perscribe anything human grade you want only if yo go through all the blood work though.

""" ANyway docs here have a duty of confidentiality""

Im guessing none of you guys ever worked a day in health care. If you present with an acute problem, inform your doc as to what your doing. If you want to keep an eye on your blood work do it WITHOUT anyones knowledge. If there is a problem with the blood work, seek help. If not keep it for a record. CONFIDENTIALITY IS A FUCKING JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT KID YOURSELF. IF YOU THINK YOUR DOC IS NOT WRITING IN YOUR CHART........THINK AGAIN.....IF YOU THINK YOUR DOC IS THE ONLY ONE WHO READS THAT CHART..........THINK AGAIN!!!! FREAK

On a legal note, that's true....BUT....

This is against the authorities forcing him (or anyone in his staff) releasing information in your file without a court order or your authorization.

When your insurance company wants info, they have a signed authorization. Likewise, non-police contact can result in the contents of your records getting around. In other words, "Loose lips sink ships."

It is always best to leave the doctor in the dark on certain matters. If the AMA is going to terminate the license of any doctor that seriously trys to counsel you on the use of anabolic steroids, why should you trust that same doctor with such a weighty secret. Some are on the up-and-up, but you'd better know your doctor very well first.

My 2 cents is to see a different doctor for anything AAS related. Don't go through insurance, pay cash, and preferably give limited ID. It shouldn't pose a problem unless you refuse to pay. Just be honest with the doc and let him know you don't believe doctor-patient priviledge gives you much protection.

Yes, this is exactly how I do it. If the doc or anyone writes anything down and it becomes an issue you will more than likely get screwed. Prohormones is a legal substance and they will have a much harder time declining a claim from a legal substance.

Play it safe. Nothing is really confidential.

I told my doctor I used ephedrine and the first thing he did was write it down in my chart. Freaked me out, I'm not about to tell him about AS
