I use to think anything "supernatural" crumbled under the scrutiny of an unbiased examiner using scientific methods.

However, data suggests that certain forms of prayer may, in fact, influence natural events in a manner not yet understood.

Its interesting to note that different dieties are often called upon by those who pray, and sometimes no diety is called upon at all.
