Do you believe in the devil?

biteme

If So, what is he all about?

He is here to try to get as many souls as he can from God. He will use any means possible lying, propaganda, fake religions anything to get people not to believe in God. He does use music rap, and rock also. He is a bad person that does not care and hates us God's creation.

I've often wondered why the song "Hells Bells" is so intoxicating.

God made the Devil so we'd have something cool to hear when we played LP's backwards.

Sadly, tapes and CDs ruined the devils medium to speak to us. So now he's using high school kids armed with guns.

Yes, I believe in the Devil. He is about evil, murder, rape, child molestors...in short I believe he is about ruining people's life.

...I don't know, but I think that most truly horrible crimes are commited by people who are somewhat mentally ill (e.g. Dahmer)..how they got sick and/or fell into the state they are in is a good topic to debate..the ole nature/nuture debate

No.

Look up the words "satan", "lucifer", and "hell" in any concordance to understand the real meaning of these terms. They are not the ideas that have been distorted by organizations over centuries for personal gain.

You don't need the devil for that, I can do it too.

Yeah, there's gotta be someone to blame for those. I mean far be it for a regular mortal to own up to something like that.

I saw what would have been the devil if he were real. In a very realistifc dream where I'm not so sure that I was sleep. I won't say what I saw out of respect for the dead, but it was pure evil.

Um.

You feeling okay there biteme?

It was a relative of mine that had passed away. I was startled out of my sleep and awoke to see them sitting in front of the bedroom door in an old wicker chair that I remembered from our kitchen years ago. Her eyes were totally black and when she spoke it was not her, it was an evil voice. I will never forget the words.

Even though I know this has to be a joke coming from you, what did she say?:eyes:

It's no joke. I always shoot straight unless I'm joking and then I assume that others know. What it said didn't really even make sense. "Biteme I'm gonna barbecue you full of holes, Forever, forever Biteme." Scarry as shit. I screamed out loud, you're not my relative, go away.

Had that have happened to me, I'd have crapped myself. I wouldn't have given THAT reaction though. I'd be like, "What the ..." Then try to punch it in the face ... yeah right, who am I kidding? I would have run like a 6 year old girl on fire.

I actually wish some weird shit like that would happen to me. Might make my life a little more interesting.

I've had lots of strange things happen. When my daughter nearly died and her health was suspect for awhile due to a hemmorhage of unknown cause, I sunk into a depression and starting seeking for answers. Be careful what you wish for.

That's crazy man. I had a dream once that I will always remember. I woke up hearing scratching at the sliding glass door, so I go down stairs to see what it was, none of the lights would turn on, so I was walking around in the dark, anyways, I pass through the living room and notice this large dark figure sitting on the couch. As I walk past it speaks to me, but not by sound, by thought, I remember it making me think He is pain, he is the one that causes hurt, but I was still thinking I was tired and didn't pay to much attention to it. when I get to the window there are hundreds of these wolves, but looked different, than normal, they were all huge monster type things and were all looking at me and were somehow pushing the door open, so I had to stay there and keep the lock down so they couldn't get in, and I could tell these thing wanted to hurt me, but yet laughing at me. then I hear all kinds of weird shit going on in the living room, shit that didn’t sound human, something moving around really fast, and then my girl friend screamed from upstairs, and all I can think about is WTF was that thing on the couch, and what was it doing to my girl friend. If I ran to find out, the wolves would get in and get me, but my girl friend needed my help. Then I woke up

Strange indeed. The unconscious mind is fascinating.

biteme, that sounds horrifying.

It also sounds like an incidence of a sleep disorder called "Sleep paralysis." If you google it, you'll find lots of info. Some people experience it a lot (I used to) some people experience it only once or twice.

Sleep paralysis has been chronicled for millenia. What happens is that your brain and body get "out of synch" while you are waking up or falling asleep. So, you are basically dreaming while awake. Sleep paralysis dreams often involve waking in your bed to see/hear a creature in your room or the hallway (if the door is open). People also report a frightening sense of "evil" in the room (even if it's not an 'evil voice' or face that is part of the dream/hallucination). Those who believe in the devil, of course, think its him.

Mind you, I'm not trying to tell you that you didn't see what you saw. I'm just offering the science behind what it sounds like.

Science tries to have an explanation for everything. Wonder where and how they came up with this? I am a very scientific person, but I think the scientific community oversteps their boundary sometimes. There are some things that will forever remain a mystery.

On the dreams note, the movie "Waking Life" has some good ideas of dreams, lucid dreaming, and death..

I like these ideas better than the idea of the Devil.

I believe there is Evil, I don't believe there is a Devil.

Well, science certainly tries to explain everything. That is its raison d'etre. :D

Did you look for/read the sites? I remember reading on a couple of them about studies done by scientists. I would agree that sometimes science does wrong, but I don't think sleep scientists are overstepping their boundaries trying to find out the whys and hows of a sleep disorder. And BTW, they don't claim to know EVERYTHING about it. Some people use the phenomena of sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming (which is another form of being half-awake, half-asleep) for spiritual - if not religious - purposes.

i experience sleep paralysis.... not fun. the thing is though, that I'm awake when it occurs. I was never sure of this, but i was sleeping with my girlfriend and it happened, so i started breathing really hard in hopes that she would nudge me or something to check if I'm alright.. which she didnt. Later that day, she said to me "oh yea, how come you were breathing so hard in bed earlier this morning?"

sigweed - yep, that's it alright. People try to move - a finger, or for me, my head - because that will wake them up. Or they make noise because they know that if someone nudges them they'll wake up.

without a shadow of a doubt.

do i think he is some red man with goat legs, a spiked tail, and a pitch fork? no, he is far more sinister.

Yes, sleep paralysis is not fun. I experience it occasionally and I struggle to move my hand. You know that you are conscious, but your brain will incorporate the external stimuli improperly and so you hear or sense crazy shit.

He can usually be found in the average person you meet daily.

I'm seeing some crap equating Satan (Sataniel) and Lucifer in here. They're different angels, you retards. Read some books that ol' Nebuchadnezzar or whatever his name is didn't fuck up.

Satan and the bringer of light are not one in the same, just as Apollyon/Abaddon and Satan are not one and the same.

Now, I'm gonna go rub my balls all soothing like.
