I'm one of those people that never carries cash, I use my ATM for everything. The reason being that I am real loose with my money and if I have it I send it.
For you east coast folk ATM=MAC card
Well, on Monday I realized that i had lost my ATM and the last place I remember using it at was a sports bar on Friday. So I call it in, they cancel it and place an order for a new one and they tell me it will be a few days before I get it. Luckily, I don't need too much cash through out the week. I buy all my groceries, gas up and take care of most of my nescessities during the weekend. Well, Wednesday morning I start to run low on gas, i had $6 in my pocket so I throw that in (which ain't shit in gas these days). I get out of work too late to make it to the bank, so I cant go there and take out some cash but didn't sweat it since I expected my ATM to arrive any time now. Well, fast forward to Friday moring still no ATM and I'm driving to work, the gas meter needle is beyond E and I am shitting bricks on the freeway fearing that I'll stall. Luckily I made it to work OK, but I know that I wont make it home so I look up my nearest bank branch, borrow $5 from a co-worker to put some gas and go take some money out during lunch. While at the branch I ask them if my ATM has been sent, they look it up and the shit didn't even get ordered
Monday is a holliday, so now I wont get my card until late next week at best!!! To top it off, i was so frustrates at the bank that I didn't even think about getting enough cash to cover me 'till then. Now I have to make sure I can get to the bank before 1:00 pM tomorrow or else I'm assed out. I usually sleep past 1:00 PM on the weekends.
I think I'm going to start keeping an emergency stash of cash around for cases liek these.
So any of you mofo's go around without cash like me, or am I the only one with impulsive spending problems?
