Do I need USP grade oil to convert powder gear?

If I were to pasteurize the gear after it is done could I use standard grade soybean or sesame oil from the local store would this be OK or is there a good reason to use only USP grade oils?

I don't know, but I'd like to. Personally I'd want to be safe and use sterile oil.

why not heat it to 212deg. farenheit and sterilize it like the post that you started says to do?making juice

That was not too clear on if he started with USP grade in the first place or not . I need to know if non USP grade after being sterilized is OK.
Just looking for a little more confirmation.

I would think after sterilizing it it would be fine, and he prob didnot start with usp or he wouldnt have to sterilize it

you can use any oil, veggie oil works too, just run in through a filter

PS, did you here anything from out powder friend?
