Do I have a sterile abscess on buttock

Hi.
I might have a sterile abscess on my right buttock, and I have been feeling like sh....t lately.
At nights I get fever, fatigue, even chills, I already got an appoiment at the doctor for Friday, but I don't know if these side effects are from the access or from the gear. Should I hit the emergency room?

Go to the emergency room immediately. If you develop a fever or get a rash on the injection site, that is a red flag that you have an infection.

DO NOT wait until Friday. Go to the hospital as soon as possible.

All the things you said indicate that there is an infection, and time is going against you, so you definitely need to pay a visit to a doctor as soon as possible to get that abcess drained.

could be related, but most likely you have the flu and it has nothing to do with the injection

If you have determined previously that this is a sterile abscess then there is no reason to worry. It is just coincidence. It sounds like you pinned a few days ago and are now feeling like crap. Infection you would notice after pinning that it would be red, hot to the touch, and you would develop a fever. In any case it never hurts to get some antibiotics.
