Would supplementing guggul extract at moderate doses lower testosterone? If so, would this be a bad choice for someone trying to build muscle?

Guggulesterones will not lower testosterone. It will honestly not do much.
Guggulesterons are derived from the plant Guggul. It has traditionally been used to combat aliments like high blood lips and liver dysfunction.
It is often marked as a weight loss drug with claims that it increases thyroid activity. However, those students were very poorly done and the data is misleading. It won't raise thyroid activity in the body but it will lower blood cholesterol values.
It won't hurt to take but I would save your money. If you are trying to build muscle, why not use a good natural testosterone booster instead? Something like HCGenerate ES from n2bm.com.
