That is what my mum says too, nothing has happened to me so far.....I just cant be fucked to cook and eat it, takes a hell of a long time

yeah i used to eat at least 6 a day with my peanut butter milkshake untill that fucker told me about the salmonella

I don't know if its true but they used to say that when you cooked them it kills the good aminos

yep, salmonella would be a bad thing. It is all fun and games till you end up in the hospital. I think chances are relatively low nowadays compared to the past, but if you do get a bad one, you will wish you had cooked it.

I do and the chances are 1 in 10,000 of getting samonilla according to a fed gov't research/study. I think it's about the same odds of dying in a car accident.

There's been research to prove that cooked eggs, even if only heated slightly causes the protein to be absorbed much more effectively. Besides that, raw eggs are nasty as hell.

1/10000, assuming you are a big egg user, you could easily consume 20 whites a day. 10000/20 = 500. That means within the next two years you're due for a salmonella poisinin'

buy pasturized egg whites and drink them from the carton

Probably one of the better ideas, though could get pricey...

On the 1 in 10,000 chance, how many do you think you eat in a year? Just trying to guage what your risk would be (I don't eat them raw)

Yup, that is true: raw eggs are not absosbed very well, plus you can get a food poisoning, and would have to take time off training. Why risk?

I used to eat raw eggs every day. After a while they were really hard to get down, and they didnt feel so good in my tummy afterwards so I stoped.

I know there's a risk, but I usually crack a few eggs into my protein shake.
