Do AI's block prior estrogen or just new?

Ok so what I mean by this is if you start your Arimidex on the third week of your cycle, will it get rid of the estrogen already built up, or only stop new estrogen from forming?

It reduces the amount of estrogen that will be produced but has no effect on what is all ready estrogen.

arimidex is not very strong... it merely suppresses estrogen and it is not really that great as it is... if you have pre existing gyno then letro is what you want to be taking... you should never start a cycle with any pre existing gyno... it is really stupid to do... if you are gyno prone, then you definitely want to be using aromasin from the start... aromasin actually kills estrogen instead of just suppressing it...

it is an aromatase INHIBITOR
we know that test aromatises, therefore this drug is designed to prevent that
it will have absolutely no effect on any estrogen already in your system, nothing will, all it will do is prevent further estrogen. and as dylan says arimidex really isnt strong.
the reason being is that it cannot pass through fat cells where a lot of aromatase is found.
best way to do this is to start off with a reasonable dose and up it if you need to.

Agreed on Aromasin being the better option. Arimidex did nothing for me except worsening my vision while I took it.

Please explain what vision issue you had with it?

adex does not WORK ON ESTROGEN. It works by binding to the aramatase enzyme which is responsible for creating E from androgens. It reduce the amount of E that gets created it does nothing for existing estrogen.

Well, it raises your intraocular vision which is why it can make you feel like your vision deteriorates. Stop use and it goes back to normal.

Fuck I have had vision issues for over a year and know I have an idea of the cause!
Wow thanks, I hope that cures my vision issues.
I am switching to arosimin tomorrow because I just took my adex today.

Dude, you already got your answer:

It reduces the amount of estrogen that will be produced but has no effect on what is all ready estrogen.

Arimidex binds to aromatase so it doesn't get to act on testosterone and transform it into estrogen.

Not that the question is that relevant in the first place though: the existing estrogen is left as is but it's going to clear up in a matter of days so regardless of what Arimidex does, you're supposed to be in the clear in a matter of weeks. Bear in mind that the recommended dose of Aromasin won't leave you at 0 estrogen and you wouldn't want that either, since some of it is necessary for the normal functioning of the body and even to build up muscle.
