I am 33 and have been lifting on and off since I was 16. I became really dedicated when I was 25 and kept at it ever since. By the time I was 31 I had pretty much stopped growing while natural, I assumed I had reached my limits I was around 193lbs, 5'10" and pretty low body fat.
Depending on how you look at it I've done three cycles (one was huge amounts of 1-test). Intially post-cycle is not a growth time, but the ensuing months ARE. So, yes, I can grow while off-cycle. It's not nearly as fast as on-cycle and not nearly like my years between 25 and 28, but the gains are real and easy to maintain. I don't think AAS "made it possible" for me to grow, while off-cycle, after I had stopped natually growing. Rather, I think I gained more knowledge about diet, metabolism and proper nutrition over the years and THAT information is what makes me grow. It's one thing to know what to do with one's diet and all, it's quite another to actually DO IT.
