DNP and skin darkening

After finishing 11 days of DNP I noticed how dark my skin had become, it looked as if I had been working out side for the past week? I had a really good tan. Other people commented on this also? One thing I noticed was that my face was always red while on the cycle. But about a week after I was off I started to peel, everywhere, chest, face, back of neck? Anyone ever have this happen or know why it would have occured?

That would be cool if DNP would give you a tan, but it's always been my understanding that UV affects the pigment in our skin that makes it darker...
