DNP and Dosages vs. metabolism %

As we all know, DNP when used correctly, can be an awsome fat burner. There have been several percentages thown out there, ranging from 35% to a 50% raise in metabolism. Even our own Grand Master George Spellwin, says the metabolism is raised as much as 50%, in his DNP Inferno Cycle Guide.

Now my question is, what are the percentages based upon? In other words: How much is your metabolism raised percentage wise when taking 200mg/day VS. 400mg/day VS. 600mg/day? or even going up to 800mg/day.

Any takes?

P.S. I tried 800mg/day and had to lower back to 600, it made me VERY lethargic and I felt like a can of smashed assholes. So I personaly don't suggest it. If you can handle it, more power to ya!

only real way to work it out is to put someone in a closed room, measure temperature change of the room, oxygen usage, maybe some other blood markers to work it out. i doubt youll get a real answer on the net. anyway a dose to % metabolism increase is just silly, since it will vary from person to person

cheers

While it's true that to determine the exact increase in metabolism caused by DNP you need to put someone in a closed system and measure all of the variables, it is possible to get a very rough estimate based on DNP dosage, BMR, calories taken in and amount of exercise.

For example, I just finished a 23 day DNP cycle and lost about 8 lbs. My DNP blood level averaged about 560mg over this period (I took either 200 or 400mg a day to maintain this - this is about the limit as to what I can take and still function at work and sleep at night). According to various calulators for my weight, height and age, my BMR is about 2000 calories. During this period I was probably eating about 1900 food calories a day, and burning an average about 100 calories a day from running/working out/yard work.

So over 23 days I burned 28,000 calories (8lbs * 3500cal/lb), for an average of 1217 cals/day. 200 of the burned calories were due to reduced food intake and physical activity, and the remaining 1017 calories were presumably due to the increased metabolism caused by DNP.

Based on these results, my basal metabolism must have been increased by 1017 calories which is a 51% increase. With an average blood level of 560mg of DNP, this works out to be aproximately an 9% increase in BMR per 100mg of DNP in the body. This is remarkably close to the 10% per 100mg of DNP number that is often cited on the net.

Now I may be off on some of these numbers since I didn't keep a detailed log of meals and exercise (I did keep a log of DNP doses and accumulated levels), but overall I think this is a reasonably decent estimate of the effects of DNP on the metabolism.

fair enough, but in order to use that estimate you ahve to assume that your mass loss was fat loss or protein loss, and it leaves out a few variables like undigested food mass, hydration etc..

yes, it is very dehydrating... kinda difficult to keep up with drinking all that water. Alot of my weight loss I'm willing to bet was water weight.
