I know that most of the time when dehydrating you need to take extra potassium. There is one diuretic that can bring you near death if you take it with potassium but I can't remember which one it is.

lasix is the one that robs the body of potassium, there are a few milder diuretics out there alcadone I believe is a good one

so it would be a good idea to take extra potassium with it then right?

get a potassium sparing one. Hydroclorothiazide w/ amiloride. This is milder and won't hit you so hard so you can expect the results.

id just eat a banana in the morning and you should be alright

how much are you taking and for how long?

20mg this morning, 20mg tonight and 20mg tomorrow morning. I have used it before and I don't think I used extra potassium.

stay away from lasix, not worth the risk. Diazide is potassium sparing and works great

Yeah...lasiz is unpredictable. I never liked it. unless you hit it with an IV I would stick with a diazide..
