i'm a cheap-ass...are there any cameras that are under like 50 bucks that you can also shoot videos with?

if i want to post videos, do i have to buy anything else? like some external device?

or do you just plug the camera into the in/out plug and upload the pics/vids?

I plan to purchase a camera in the future so I can show some workouts.

I would be the first person ever to do this in the gym where I train.

I need to learn how to set it up.

wow that's a pretty low range... thatd be tough...

in the 100s... then maybe... not a real good brand or high pixels... but it will get the job done.

ls, that would be awsome idea and huge contribution not only to yourself (analyze your form) and to this board as well.

It is possible to buy a very good digital camera with movie clip capability for about $200-$250. The movie clips are usually can only be taken in 30 second increments. It works just like a regular camera, you either use timer or get someone else to film you. After that a simple installation of software, and connecting the camera to the computer, and viola you have a live record of your lift, which you can play in slow motion, analyze, send to people, and customize

Rev, my brother has a camera. . I may talk to him to see if I can borrow it.

I have a website, but its not geared towards strength training. I need to find a way to host videos. . . maybe I can send them to people by email.

i want to do the exact same thing louden swain does..

im looking for something cheap though. quality isn't THAT important, but its nice to have a clear image.

once i do find a camera, what do i have to do? any extras that i have to buy? or just plug it in and go?

jeremy - all the accessories come with the camera

louden - people pay a lot of money to host their files, unfortunately free websites do not have enough space for these video files. However..... you have a very nice friend, named revexrevex, who can host your videos for everyone to see :) :)

ok i found one that's 75 bucks

now is that all i need to record workouts/competition lifts?

it says 'supplies limited'

sorry man, i'll tell you once i order mine, i have to make sure i get one :)

I have one jeremy. HOw you think I take my videos? I just wanted to make sure its good for digital videos that can be outputed via USB cable. But whatever man.

When it comes to electronics and firearms, I have one recommendation.

Spend the max you can afford.

xbiker lets hear some stats

1. Age
2. years training
3. Deadlift for 1 rep max
4. Ddadlift for 3 rep max
5. Deadlift for 20 rep max

this will give me an accurate view of whether ur rcommendation was good for consideraiton

wtf? was that like video camera? the one that takes continious videos and not just 30 sec clips. that shit is hardcore

LMAO

I bought a 1.55 megapixel camera for over $2000. Damn

It came with a video camera too. Sony PC120BT It does the job. Everything I try to put in my avatar or shit like that I have to change the pixels or size anyway. wtf? lol

I don`t thinks so. I`ve never really used that option. It uses the mini DV tapes, but it also has a 120 MB card for pics and vids. It also has blue tooth but definately NEVER used that option.the stuff for it is still in the box. lol
