i live in one of those suburban 'hoods and I look around me everyday and wonder how may people are living lives not unlike that in the movie--what's the quote "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them"....

Ive seen it a few times. I love it. It is part of america and what i dont I want to fall into. Always comparing against the nieghbors, making sure your kid is good or smart and driving the right cars (she drives an SUV benz how funny is that) having the right jobs etc

in upper middle class society a large % of ppl care all about being better then your nieghbor, by having a nicer house, 3 cars, go out to eat and have a kid who the best with test scores

I lived in a place like this in HS. I fucking hate the style of life (even though I am guilty of chasing material items sometimes)
