did some research.......is 20 too young??

I was gonna start my first cycle this summer 300-500mg Test for 8-10 wks, with 200-300mg of Deca during the same amount of time. But when i was doing some research, i ran into many threads telling guys that 20 was too young. here are my stats:

6'4"
230lbs
9-10% BF
been lifting for 5 years

So should i start my summer cycle or not?????
 
Im going to go out on a limb and say 20 is ok for steroids. The counter argument is that you are producing enough test naturally, and dont need to mess with your test levels, etc.
That is very true, but if you have hit a plateu and trained naturally for a while, I think your age is ok. At least you are doing research and thinking on the issues, that alone shows you are thinking smartly, if you can wait to 21, but if not I think your age is ok.
 
I don't think 20 is to young....it really depends on how long you've been training....if you've only been training for like 2-3 months then no, you shouldn't be taking test...but if you've been training for like 5-6 years then I'd say it'll be alright. I think it has more to do with experience then with age. just my .02
 
i have only been taking working out seriousl for the past 2 years, but the 3 years before that, i was just in football and basketball, so we had to workout..
 
I'll give you a mixed answer on whether or not 20 is too young...

I'm 43. I didn't start juicing till my mid-20s... and I wouldn't recommend to anybody else that they juice till they are 28-30; however, if I had it to do over again... I would probably start juicing at 16.

Normally, I'd say 20 is too young.
but,
If you're stats are what they say they are, and your diet and training are dialed in, then go for it.

That's what you wanted to hear right?

I'm 32 and didn't start juicing 'til 2 years ago. Not saying to wait that long, but you might want to consider an OX only cycle. Just a thought.
 
i started at 20 and don't regret it at all, i went from 160 to 190 naturally, at 6' tall, then went to 230 on my first cycle, am almost 23 and 225 and RIPPED right now

I'm 25 and I think I am alright with my age...
Tried to juice back in Russia when I was 17. I'm glad i didn't... Went natural till 25, till last week...
 
I started training at 20 and my first cycle was at 25...I don't regret waiting but you got a much earlier sart in the gym...I would say keep your doses low and do it right and you could be one big MOFO.....
 
IMO,

20 is ok, with your stats. I am 20.

If you are gonna do a cycle, id do it up right.

MASS:

Test: 500 mg week 10 weeks
Nandrolone Phenyl prop: 400 mg 10 weeks (wont shut you down for as long as deca cause its a shorter acting ester of nandrolone)
Dbols: 25 mg ED for 5 weeks.

Get yourself some Clomid for post cycle and get ready to grow like a fucking weed. This is just my suggestion. If i redesigned my first cycle, it would be this.

You are 6'4 so it probably doesn't matter, but be aware you probably will be done growing once you do steroids. I started at 19 and am glad I did. I think 20 is fine. (But then again I'm only 19, so what do I know?) :)
 
I'm 20 also and I played sports in high school like you and trained until I was 20 before I did my first cycle. I always said I wanted to wait until I was 21 but the urge was too much to bear. I think 20 is fine if you trained for awhile like you said.
 
Don't do it

At 20yo, my hormones were raging and I was able to throw weight around with most guys at my gym even though I weighed only 185lbs. I could crank out 225lb bench presses for 20reps, and I was all natural. I wasn't even on creatine because it wasn't known about back then. I am now in the later 20's and just considered AS.

Unless there is money in it for you (ie pro ball), I'd definitely say don't do it.
I don't know why so many college-age guys here on this board don't just take advantage of their natural sky-high test levels. IMO, no one under 22yo should take AS....just train hard and you will grow!

Besides, your stats are already impressive.
 
I yeah I forgot to say I'm only 19 but I'm turning pro as soon I'm done with college, so I have monetary reasons to juice. If I just wanted to look good I would definitely wait until I was in my 20's. But damn you are already huge.
 
Your pretty big already and an argument can be made that it is fine to start gear, but I would recommend you wait at least 2 more years.
 
I personally feel that it should be all-natural until age 24 or 25. This would include 5-7 years of consistant training. If at that time one feels he/she wants to take it to another level I see no problem with using steroids and other enhancing compounds. It is extremely important that one educates him/herself so that sound, informed decisions can be made.
 
I started juicing at 19. I was a late developer so I had a little growing to do when I started. I probably should have waited till I was older. I think if you are fully developed at the age of 20 then it's o.k. By the sounds of things, you are. BamBam

you'll be fine, just keep it simple your first time, your gonna gain off of anything.
