Did Proscar/Propecia help you?

If you have tried propecia or proscar I would like to know if you think it's worth the $. Also, what is a good price to pay? The cheapest price I can find is $200 for 60 tablets (Proscar/5mg). If anyone knows cheaper please direct me to a source (private message)
I'm currently using nizoral and saw palmetto, and they have slowed the progression, but not enough.
Thanks

I've had a fair amount of success. Rogaine actually regrew dense hair for me - I stopped it due to it lowering my blood pressure. Hair fell back out eventually - I then tried Propecia. Not as much regrowth but good results and completely stopped loss.

If I were to do it again, I'd run rogaine for 6 months with propecia and then drop the rogaine (use your other stuff too).

That being said I didn't like the way propecia made me feel so I am off that too - it;s only hair. Obviously I'm pretty sensitive to drugs.

i use 1/4 tab of proscar ED. it has definately worked for me, took about 3 months of use and my hair began to get thicker and actually get some regrowth towards the front. i would recomend it. remember though, once you start if you stop all results will be lost. it's a lifelong decision

hahah, no that's rogaine that you lose when you stop

anyways, finasteride works fantastic at halting hairloss...but I don't think it does jack shit for hairgrowth.

Also I don't think finasteride is something that works that well over short periods of time. I would plan on using it for at least a year (if not forever) or not at all.

It did regrow hair on me but not to the extent that rogaine did (vertex and front - basically everywhere).

This is why I suggested starting them both and then dropping the rogaine after 6+ months.

I stand by everything I said.

If you want to believe that propecia will regrow all the hair you've lost, then by all means do--I don't give a shit.
