Hey guys,
Been a long time lurker of this forum and needed to make a post! Right now I weigh 188lbs at 15% bodyfat. I want to get down to 170lbs and around 9-12% bodyfat. Ive also been on 1.25mg finasteride for 10 months due to a receding hairline so everything I do now is based around not making my hair worse. I have done a bunch of readings and found some conclusions:
Having a lower bodyfat % gets rid of excess estrogen (estrogen can save hair) and a high muscle to low bodyfat ratio causes an increase in testosterone production including DHT
Then I have also heard that high fat diets/high body fat and weight is associated with high DHT levels therefore losing weight and limiting fats in a diet should decrease DHT levels.
Anyone have some knowledge on this topic or any experience? BTW, when I say I have heard this stuff I mean from random research articles and studies not just people online.
