DHEA and gynecomastia

I am not bodybuilder but i took DHEA suplement of 50mg/day x 60, because i was treated with corticosteroids, and DHEA is corticosteroid antagonist. Stres hormones are corticosteroids, and they are catabolic, destroing proteins and body and making energy.

i am afraid of gynecomastia, firstly i noticed that my breast are very sensitive, and it looks like enlarged than before. I have stoped taking DHEA anymore and i will do lab tests Testosterone, progesterone, estradiol, and DHEA-S.

Can DHEA cause this gynecomastia, hope it will reverse if so. i had read about letrozole and nolvadex, they are not expencive, do not know what to do go to pharmacy and tell please i want one nolvadex, or to go to doctor.

And does anybody know how to get rid of Corticosteroids. Dhea is antagonist for Glucocorticoids, and 7-keto is safe but dont know is it antagonist too, for mineralocorticosteroids in my country only one medicine is registred
C03DA01 Spironolactone but it blocks testosterone activity, so i do not plan to take it.

Try taking some arimidex along with the DHEA

Did you recieve a cortizone injection or were you given a prednasone prescription? Dose?


DHEA shouldn't give you gyno. Dermacrine has a lot of dhea in it, and is absorbed much better by the body than oral administration (it is a skin topical product) hence "DERMA" meaning skin.

If you have some gyno, get some nolva off our sponor sites, and that should take care of it.

native dhea can convert to both test and estrogens

PP will have to answer this, but I think the dermacrin formulation and suggested application location reduce the possibility of the component dhea increasing estrogens.

- includes natural anti-estrogens, and
- application on shoulders/chest? to take advantage of higher concentarion of enzymes likely to convert the formula to androgens

I take DHEA off and on.Every other month. I seem to just feel better when I take it. 50mg/ED - 25mg a.m., 25mg after lunch. I don't get gyno, but it's a natural hormone that decreases as we age. Also take .25 adex E3D.
