Dextrose with creatine...

I purchased some dextrose to take with creatine to help with absorbtion.... Should i take the dextrose with creatine all the time or just right after my workout? And i was told 50grams is about what i should be taking with the creatine..?

The dextrose is included to induce insulin release from within the pancreas, Insulin's main purpose is to clear the blood of excess sugars. So when a high GI carb like dextrose enters the blood, it causes almost an immediate insulin spike which shuttles the creatine into the muscle cells, along with the dextrose which is stored as muscle glycogen. :D

Sry, i didn't really answer your question =/, 40-50 g's is plenty. Whenever you take the creatine, you should take it with dextrose, personally, I take it only once a day along with my postworkout shake because I want the insulin spike to shuttle the proteins to my muscles as well. I try to avoid excess sugars so taking 40g's of dextrose 2times a day is pretty out of the question for me :D
