Dextrose vs Maltodextrose(dextrin?)

For the purposes of mixing with creatine to make a generic home-made cell-tech like product - would either of these serve the purpose? A health food store here has a 5lb tub of the Maltodextrose or Maltodextrin - whatever it is called for $5. Is this ok to use???????

true, but Dextrose is supposedly better with Creatine - why because Dextrose absorbs quicker, digests faster, and helps push that creatine into the cells when the timing is right- being asap Postworkout.
 
get the dextrose but don't use more than 40 grams. to much dextrose can cause a negative-sided insulin spike which is counterproductive...
 
I've always heard 50g was the minimum, and depending on your weight you can go all the way up to 110g of dextrose, especially in post workout shakes. Never heard of the negative sided insulin spike, what is it?
