okay im currently on a diet where im trying to lose my gut but keep and hopefully add more muscle at the same time. im wondering if i should be doing dextrose post workout like everyone else is saying they do. some questions - what exactly is dextrose, and what is the point of it. how much is it. whats the suggested dose, and suggested way to take it and with what. whats the best and cheapest place to get it etc. thanks for the help.
 
Dextrose is a type of simple carb. Its pure glucose. It causes a major insulin spike. 50-75g of dextrose with 40g of whey post workout is what most people take, unless on something like CKD in which case 15-20g post workout is standard. You can not lose fat and gain muscle at the same time unless using gear. If you eat less then your body needs, you will lose, if you eat more you will gain. Supplementdirect.com has a huge container of dextrose for 12.00$ I believe. Enough to last you many months.
