honestly i work 8-9 hour shifts during the week and when i do eat its either chik fila or a baked potatoe at the mall.. i got alot of my excess calories and protein from shakes.. i was drinking one before work, one returning from work, one post workout and one before bed..
at the time i was mixin cyto gainer and muscle milk between meals and before bed..
whey protein post workout
my meals normally were
breakfast
eggs
bacon
juice
bagel
milk
meal 2
chikfila chicken sandwich, chocolate shake, fruit cup
water
meal 3
2 bakes potatoes
(sometimes pizza.. i work in a mall)
water
meal 4
some type of chicken breast or pork chops..
veggies
pasta or rice
water
meal 5
2-3 pb sandwiches before bed
chocolate milk
of course thats a real rough breakdown.. some days better than others..
so in between those i still had the shakes goin and had some rice pattys or some kind of protein bar to eat during work.. rocked this cycle out with about 35-40 lbs of gains.. probably 30 after water sheds.. i dont eat clean at all but thats my body type.. i dont put on fat.. but i do think its possible to grow off of shakes/bars and as much solid food as possible
