Defence lawyer OR undercover-cop/prosecutor??

When you request a lawyer after being arrested and then finally they provide you with one, how do you know that person is realy a defence lawyer trying to help you?

I mean can the cops play a trick and send an undercover or DA pretending to be adefence lawyer to extract some information??

After reading the "interrogation chapter" cops are allowed to lie, be deceptive basically do whatever they want almost to get you to talk...

Is there anything in law that prohibits them from doing that?

I believe that would violate your constitutional rights and they wouldn't be able to use any of the information gathered in this manner.

Common sense tells me that they can't, if they do anything that you say would be inamissable.

Yes they shouldn't. But, they shouldn't lie about other incriminating evidence about you that does not exist, or pretend they have this folder of infoprmation on you or keep questioning you after you have repeadately asked for a lawyer and treat you like a prisoner, BUT THEY STILL DO.

So I ask again, what prevents them from doing so?

The fact that any information they got out of you this way would be inadmissable in a court of law. They are not going to screw up ON PURPOSE so that your case gets thrown out and they have egg on their face.
