Are Islamic terrorists targeting your countries very intensely? I know that Algerians want to commit terrorism against Europe but i think that is due to anger over direct intervention in the 50's rather than for an idealogy. Are there fears of large scale Islamic terrorist acts in your respective countries, or are you pretty much untargeted except for Algerians?

yes we're targeted.....cwertain countries in mainland europe are probably less a target than others (sweden, switzerland etc) probably due to their foreign policy over the years

but certainly in britain, france and germany they (authoprities) are wary of terrorist attacks, given the stances they took in the war, britain is wary of attack too

we're targeted by pretty much everyone, just algeriansd have been caught of late. brita have lived under the spectre of IRA terrorism for a while now

as for the people, a quiet discomfort but nothing that will drastically alter life

I got an Idea! How about North America and Europe go to war and attack each other! That would put a whole twist on the situation! Terrorists would be to scared to get caught in the crossfire! It could stop Terrorism! Think it would work???????

Spain and the UK really don't care too much.

We've had to live with the IRA and ETA for 40 years.

Terrorism is nothing new.

Besides, the algerians hate the french the most....as Algeria was once a domain of france.

a 17yr old hijacked a commuter bus in Germany a week ago. He claimed to work for Al Quaida and demanded the release of some terrorist involved in the 9/11 attack. After he was arrested it turned out his gun was fake... besides such bizarre incidents life in Germany is quiet; why should they be a target anyway? The didn't support the US against Iraq, they are pouring millions into Palestine, the German foreign secretary was attending a PLO summit several years ago, a German doctor refused to treat Americans, restaurant owners are boycotting Coke, ... they are doing their best to buddy with the arabs

Except for some wackos like that bus hi-jacker it´s pretty good when it comes to terrorism recently.
The biggest wave of terrorism was from the RAF and that was an interior group.
We have a few terror cells, some were busted recently, but i think they are rather training (most of them were students) than preparing attacks.

And yes, a few people over here are trying to not buy American products anymore, though i don´t know anyone that does personally.
I guess stupid boycotts are international these days.
