I used to love that show! I think they made a tv movie of it not too long ago. I might be thinking of something else, but I am pretty sure he did a comeback movie of it.

yeah i think they play it in the morings, i downloaded 2 or 3 of them off of kazza.....there kinda funny to watch now, but back in the day it was bad ass

I watch Simon & Simon at 4am a lot. That show is funny, especially since it's based in San Diego and they do stories like the man eating tiger at the zoo.

I didn't watch Scarecrow and Mrs King until the reruns started coming on. It's on a lot now on PAX. Jake and the Fatman was awesome. Joe Penny looked good. :p

Silk Stalkings was a cool show. I haven't seen any replays on. USA went down the drain, when they canceled that show.

I think Silk Stalkings used to come on TNT in replays. It's been a while though.

what happend to decent tv shows you could watch with kids in the room, or as a family? it's all bullshit now!!

Network television is bullshit, I have NOT watched normal TV for probably 5 years now. If its not history channel, sci-fi, discovery, or some kind of movie (and a handfull of others) then I wont watch it.

Normal TV SUCKS ASS, JMO of course. I can't see how anyone watches that bullshit, nothing is funny, Friends? Give me a break. I think this is why Americans are so stupid, we lower our standards every day we watch this garbage.

Airwolf, Riptide, Magnum PI, Simon and Simon, A-Team, Dukes of Hazard, I loved all those shows. Half of them would probably get laughed at for the "special effects" nowdays but oh well :D

i think that's why the shows now days suck. because there is no plot, it's either about sex and skin, or special effects, or all of the above...for real, all these space shows, and real world shit...it's all stupid.

Yep, extremely shallow BS with no real content or anything to interest you, just bland as hell. I'm sure something out there has entertainment value, but I got tired of TV being a big part of my life so I turned it off for about 3 years solid, then discovered the good stuff on cable, so at least I'm only half rotting my brain as I learn about WWII on History Channel or etc :D

anyone else miss it? they should start making new episodes instead of that gay show he's in now!

You mean Stargate. I don't know if any new MacGyver should be made. He's not as smart as he was.:bawling:

Yea Macguyver was an awesome show! Still is. Me and a buddy of mine used to watch it all the time. I agree with network television being shit these days. Its all about sex and and other worthless crap you can't really make a plot about. I miss cable and satellite. The History Channel, Discovery Channel, and stuff like that was good tv to watch. Nowadays the only network tv I watch is Frasier and maybe a couple other shows here and there. Seems like everyone is always raving about Friends. I hate that show. Its so stupid. And shit like Jerry Springer, all that show consists of is the trash of society. And as far as I'm concerned the people that watch it aren't any different than the people that appear on the show. Fuck network tv. I want cable back.

I bought every single episode of Macgyver on eBay... and of the Hulk... and of Masters of the Universe... and of the Hulk cartoon. eBay kicks ass.

Does anyone remember the show "The Fall Guy" with Lee Majors (aka the Bionic Man). I was watching this movie at work with the kids Friday, and there is this guy that works there that is a year or two younger than me. He doesn't remember the show at all and didn't even know who Lee Majors was. Anyone else remember the Fall Guy? He was a stunt man, and I used to love the show even though it didn't last the longest time.

My mom named her cat Argus Macgyver. She called him "mickey"

I thought Mac's name was Angus, though.

I liked that episode where he hung out with Merlin and used counter-magic on his rope levitation trick. The people took a crap.

BBB are you clairvoyant? I was reading the NY Post today at work when I saw this:

MacGyver": The Next Generation

by Joal Ryan
Oct 18, 2002, 6:00 AM PT

A proud day for duct tape.

MacGyver, the thinking handyman's 1985-92 adventure series, will be revived, and retooled, for a next-generation-style WB show called Young MacGyver.

The planned series is being eyed for a 2003 debut, Variety says.

Casting for a pilot is expected to begin shortly. Producers (of whom Henry "The Fonz" Winkler is one) need an actor to play old MacGyver's twentysomething nephew. Like old MacGyver, played on the original series by Richard Dean Anderson, young MacGyver will work for the Phoenix Foundation, an agency devoted to defeating diabolical minds, one episode at a time.

And like old MacGyver, fans hope, young MacGyver will rely on his wits, and the random contents of a glove compartment, to save the world with a paper clip, a Hershey bar and, in a pinch, duct tape.

Anderson, now of Showtime's Stargate SG-1, is 52, and presumably considered ineligible to star in a show with the word "young" in the title. It's not known if he would play any role in the planned MacGyver revival. In Variety, a WB exec spoke of "a brand-new cast of a characters."

It's not known if young MacGyver will be bestowed with a first name at birth, unlike Uncle, who had to wait to the 1991-92 season. (It wasn't until then that viewers were told Mac's given name was...Angus.)

Earle Marsh, coauthor of The Complete Directory to Prime Time [SIC] Network TV Shows, says the young MacGyver concept has been tried before--on old MacGyver. The final episode of the original ABC series saw Mac reunited with his long-lost son, Sean, played by future Beverly Hills, 90210 resident Dalton James. The series concluded with the two MacGyvers tooling off into the sunset on motorcycles, Marsh says.

Anderson returned, sans his TV son, for two 1994 TV-movies, MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis, and MacGyver: Trail to Doomsday.

In August, New Line Cinema sealed a deal with series creator Lee Zlotoff to retrofit the old series for a big-screen adventure.

To Tim Nyberg, one half of Jim & Tim, the Duct Tape Guys, authors of The Duct Tape Book, among other similarly themed titles, the return of MacGyver, in movie or TV form, can only mean good things for the adhesive material that he and his partner champion.

"MacGyver is another duct-tape evangelist, just like we are," says Nyberg, who cops to only having viewed "one-and-a-half episodes" of the original series. "...Some people [even] call it 'MacGyver tape.'"

What's so special about MacGyver tape?

"It's so strong that people have actually towed cars out of ditches with it, and yet you can rip it with your bare hands," Nyberg says. "It's kind of a quick fix--a universal panacea."

Looks the WB will find out how well it works on ratings.
