Cytomel. When do I take this dose?

Doc has me 150mcg of Synthroid along with 25mcg of Cytomel. But the dose of cytomel has been changed to now 50mcg per day.

Question is, how do I take the Cytomel? Should I take ALL 50mcgs upon rising? Or should I take 25mcg upon rising and the next 25mcg a few hours later?
 
So far I've been taking both 25mcgs (50mcgs) all at once. So far I feel fine. But of course....there's ALWAYS room for improvement! :-)

I'll try that protocol you said brother. However! I'm afraid that I won't be able to sleep at night. Or that I'll begin to burn out and/or waste away. Remember, I'm also on 150mcg of Synthroid. And Synthroid is what my doc calls as the "backup" thyroid. For when Cytomel runs out.

I've read on the web of people taking only 5mcg-25mcg of Cytomel and claiming of getting irritable and going hypoglycemic etc etc. Yet! None of those things have happened to me at all.
 
T3 doesnt really cause insomnia unless ur really sensitive, however if your worried you cant sleep i suggest u still break the dose up but maybe try 25mcg upon rising, and 25mcg 5-6 hours later on

rember t3 active life is only 10 hours, seems pointless ot take it all in the morning unless your day is exactly 10 hours long


Isn't the half-life 10 hours?
 
For a bodybuilfer the half-life is lower. Its is better to split the dose. Time released T3 is now made by compounding pharmacies BTW.
 
I'm up at 5am and into bed by 10pm on weekdays. Weekends its from 8 or 9am and in bed by 12 or 1am. So far for weekdays I take my first dose at 5am and my second dose 11am. And I take my Synthroid at 10pm. So far I've been sleeping better. And waking up more refreshed and energetic. And I have more energy for longer hours.

Don't understand why there is time releases T3. As if taking a pill that lasts 10 hours isn't enough. And I'm taking 2! LOL Split up!

I read about this time released T3. And many are saying that they can't tell shit difference between regular cytomel and this new time released T3.
 
My understanding is that physical exertion will effect the half-life.
I have some experience with this. I would say it is best to split it up (your way seems to be working well) but isn't something everyone must do.
But..... If you are waning off T3 I highly reccomend splitting it up as you cone off as I've seen someone who needed to do this in order to lower their dose without going hypo.
