Cutting and fat

6 Pack Man

New member
When cutting is getting about 70g of fat a day too much if you keep the carbs pretty low, like around 15-20g? Protein is kept pretty high around 200-215 g a day.

You're fine. You have to consume some source of energy(since the carbs are virtually nonexistent), and in this case, the fat is what you use for the energy. If you don't consume enough fat, then your body is going to burn lots of protein, and that's a bad thing.

Thanks, just wasn't sure how this diet would work since this is the first time I've tried it. I've always went on high portein, med carbs, low fat to get cut up and it worked pretty well.. I just ran into problems with lower test levels due to almost no fat in my diet.. I want to get the same results, just switching out the amount of fat and carbs to hopefully keep my test levels in place, but continue to cut up.

protein should be over 300g, fat can be high also

My protein intake isn't quite that high. Maybe around 240-250g, but I only weigh 170 lbs, even at that weight does my protein still need to be around 300g? If so I'll just add either 2 more cans of tuna or 2 more pieces of chicken breast.
