custom protein blend or Caseinate

SoreArms

For slow absorbing protein to consume through out the day (not post WO), would it be best to make a custom blend, or would regular caseinate protein suffice?

If you guys prefer a custom blend, what do you recommend (ingredients and %'s of blend)?

that theary's been debunked, it don't work the way you're thinking (I thought that too)

Got a link?

Adding any fat content what-so-ever to a carb alters it GI tremendously, I know thats right. I thought the same went for protein.

Alright, assnugget... make the shake and take 2 tablespoons every 10 minutes..

THERE!

I use casein only before bed all other meals i use whey. thats mainly because i eat every other hour. So i dont feel i need more slow absorbing.

adding fats of low GI carbs to, say whey protein, does not slow down the rate at which your body absorbs the way, it just prolongs the time it takes to digest the entire meal/shake.

this is the analogy I got when it was being explained to me. Say you add a couple of really slow guys to a marathon race. The slow guys are not going to slow down the Kenyans, they'll still finish at their normal speed. The slow guys just slow down the entire time it took to finsih the race. Or something like that

I'm trying to loose some fat. From what I understand, whey digests too fast, most of the time the protein is available so fast that it is not needed so it gets stored as fat. Whey is not a good protein source, other that post work out, for some one that is cutting.

wtf! You're the one that started this debae with me several months ago, then pitbull, or bulldog or whatever that guys name was came in and told me that marathon analogy, and he was the one that told you the same. and people brought out links and blah blah blah fuck you!

damn this search feature! Are we limitted on how far back we can go too? It's only bringing up a fewrecent threads of mine using the keyword protein, there are many more it's not showing!

Sounds a bit weird to me. Ive definately noticed gains i musclemass when i changed from using casein thoughout the day (except after training) to using whey all the time (except before bed).

I can't stand caseinate ..

If I can't keep it down, it won't do me any good right ?

I usually do CFM whey isolate for pre and post workout in skim or water
And a Mix of CFM whey, Milk, Egg and Soy in that order 50% - 10% in vol

Pretty sure that's wrong orb.

To measure GI, they watch Blood Sugar levels... then rate everthing against pure sucrose or white bread....

When you add a teaspoon of fats, the blood sugar levels take longer to elevate, they never get as high, and they last longer...

Seems fat would have the same effect on protein to me...

I use a Casein, Iso whey, egg mix. I forget the %. I just ask them at the factory what my last order was. lol maybe change flavors.

It might be 40/30/30. and I use the Iso Agb (whey only) for post workouts with Erer-G and dextrose.
