3)no church based on the bible would acknowledge evolution as a scientific fact, because we believe in creation.
I'm not curling, but I wanted to submit my answers too.
I'm not sure how it is contradictory. I could understand how Darwin's leap from monkey to man was a bit far fetched, but evolution as a whole doesn't seem to contradict anything in the bible. And creationism has about as much credibility as the big bang theory.V-Machine said:Not all church goers believe in a form of creation that iscontradictory to evolution. This really depends upon how literally you interpret the Bible.

AAP said:Funny how the Bible never discusses dinosaurs, but yet evidence of them has been dug up (literally) for centuries.

curling said:You know I don't know about dinosaurs for sure. They might have existed and might not of. I guess I don't trust a bunch of this science where they find one or two bones and then make a whole dinosaur out of it.

I mean I would lean more to believing they existed if they found the whole skeleton which I don't think they have have they?

V-Machine said:Curling, whilst it is true that sometimes whole skeletons are reconstructed from only a few bones, whole skeletons have been found.
curling said:Have you seen one? And which dinosaurs had the full bone skeleton?

15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
Is this verse a reference to dinosaurs? I don't know, nobody does but that does sound like a big damn animal to me. The book of job was written about 2000 years before the birth of Christ.

UA_Iron said:The bible is too much interpretation. Somewhere in genesis it talks about "beasts walking the earth" - could be interpreted as dinosaurs (highly unlikely as man, who wrote the bible, was not around at the time of the dinosaurs).
Most of the bibles stories were taken from sumerian, assyrian and babylonian texts.
