Leafs are really beat up and the only real faceoff guy they have is Travis Green while Carolina has Francis and Brind'Amour and all around the best faceoff team in the league.
Joseph is better than Irbe or Weekes and if Toronto gets a healthy Sundin back they could be a force yet i think Carolina is too strong up front and in winning faceoffs. It will go to 7 games and either team could take it.
Avs vs Wings is going to be crazy. I love watching teams in the West play. They're always banging and going all out. This one will be close to call but if Roy is on his game this series is over. When Roy wants to play he's money in the bank. What i think is that the Wings can't handle the younger Avs you will be coming at them with everything they have. I'm thinking the Avs in 6 or 7 games but you never know since Detroit is very resilient.
Whoever comes out of the West will win it in 5. If NJ or Philly was there then it would be a different story.

I think the Leafs will beat Carolina in their series. Any team the changes goalies during the playoffs never wins. After Carolina easily beating Montreal in 3 straight games they will be rusty and the Leafs will jump all over it. Toronto is beat up but other players have stepped up. Goaltending wins playoff series Cu-jo against Weekes and Irbe come on.
As for the Avs/Wings matchup to hard to call it will be a long series.

I completely agree with the above, except obviously I think the Wings will pull it out! Hasek is on hos game again, and if we can get Roy flustered he lets a flood of goals. Also, with exception of the last series for the Avs, they have struggled to score goals. I definately think it will be a long series, but I think you will see more of a hockey game instead of hitting game with these two teams this go around. This is the series the hockey world was hoping for!!!
Also you are dead on with the West winner, winning the cup!
